CoEHAR studies the factors that drive smoking addiction and identifies the most suitable tools for cessation. The center investigates new ways of using alternative and less harmful tools to conventional cigarette smoking. Innovation Scientific and technological innovation is CoEHAR driving force to evaluate and promote effective and less harmful solutions than combustible smoking. A creative and revolutionary way to study the processes that trigger smoking addiction. Internationalization The internationalization of scientific activities is the ground on which we develop our studies. CoEHAR network of international collaborations helps our researchers to deliver solutions tailored for the needs of specific countries and territories. Using alternative tools that are less harmful than smoking is the key to reduce the damage caused by smoking. CoEHAR studies the factors that promote the addiction and identifies the most suitable tools for quitting. What is CoEHAR? CoEHAR is the Center of Excellence for the Acceleration of Harm Reduction established in 2018 within the Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine of the University of Catania. Mission CoEHAR aims to the global revolution of a smoke-free world, through the promotion of an international research and a multidisciplinary approach that disseminate information to reduce the harm from smoking.
